No, its still £6 a month since last year.

I notice that all telecom providers seem to be raising their prices something over 10 percent. I don't see any justification for it really. Most of the telecoms runs itself these days, I'd have thought.

Its just another way to screw money from people who are already struggling. I suspect somebody has said that x number of subscribers will either reduce their package or go away, so in order to preserve the status quo, they will raise prices.

Believe it or not,, equipment does need replacing from time to time, Otherwise you can have lenghthy breakdowns. And you need to pay staff an ever increasing wage/salary.

Nothing obliges any of us to have any IT at home at all, y'know. And it's quite clearly laid out in their Ts & Cs.

As an alternative to going broke when they can't pay the electricity bill.

More likely they have noticed the hike in their electricity bill.
