I'm looking for about 10 metres of clear polythene sheeting, about 1.5 Metres wide and 1 or 2cm thick.Can anyone point me in the right direction.

Ask around your local builders' merchants - some of them will sell it 'off the roll'. Same goes for garden centres....
Depends if it's for indoors or outdoors use - some of the cheaper stuff will fall apart after a year or so in the sun. Longest-lasting is the stuff for use on polytunnels - but it tends to come in very wide sizes - may be too big for what you need...

wouldn't think BM, would stock 1mm thick .... standard Visqueen damp proof membrane 'sheet' is measured in microns not mm :-)
