plasti-dip

I am thinking of coating some lead to make shower curtain weights. Anyone used this:

I note this is a lot cheaper in the USA. Any cheaper alternatives that are not black ? Simon.

You might find a local painting or plating firm can do the items for less than you can do them They did some wrought iron speaker stands for me some years back, but of course these sort of companies are a bit like double glazing firms, here one day gone or changed their name the next! Brian

Why not use something better suited?

a long time ago. It gave a thick rubbery coating, not like paint at all.

Wood, plastic etc

Sugru, in its cheaper d-i-y variant "oogoo"?

And I think some fishing weights come coated in rubbery plastic...

Not entirely sure why tablecloth weights were ruled out. I have a set that would seem to be ideal

I've used the magnetic strip from a fridge door for something similar. Can't say I've had a problem with shower curtains, perhaps they're not long enough for the drop he's got from the rail.

My thought, too. The pole needs adjusting a tad, either left/right or up/down. Pain in the bum if it is screwed to the wall rather than telescopic, of course.

We have lived with a curtain for the last 14 years. Fitting a screen is one of the many long term plans ...

Having said that, the old curtain got a bit ratty, so Wifey bought a replacement, complete with hooks, from Tesco for £1.99 which I thought was bound to be crap but is surprisingly good.
