plasterboard joints how to

hi i have built ander plasterboarded a stus wall with 12.5mm tapered edge plasterboard,i am wondering what the best way to finish the joins is ,i know i have to tape the seems but what next,and what is the jointing compound called that i ask for as there are som many different kinds is bewildering



Check the Knauf or British Gypsum websites for full info.

The filler is called Joint Filler. You can buy it powdered or ready mixed. The powdered stuff leaves a slightly rough finish and you normally have to finish off with the ready mixed. The advantage of the powdered stuff is that it sets faster.

An alternative is to use artex which is also suitable (and cheaper!)

Try British Gypsum Easyfill from B&Q or Easyfill45 for rapid results
