Hi Dave.



Now I know how to get it started. I have another problem.



I had a set of Lances arrive today

took off the Lance and tried out the new ones. Loved the Rotary Lance.



But now I can't get any of them to fit?? When I push the lances in they don't appear to go in far enough to twist to lock it in.



On the Foamer Lance, I have taken the yellow bush out to see if that was tight, but still it will not push in far enough may be 2 or 3 mm short.



Is there a spring inside the gun that could have got jammed?

I find mine unpredictably difficult. When it won't play, if I rest the end of the lance on the ground, I can usually push hard enough to get it to engage sufficiently to turn and lock.

I popped up to B&Q to look at a new one.

Turns out, the yellow collar from one of the Lances had got stuck inside the Gun.

All sorted. Thanks.

It may be that the o-rings on the new lances are a bit on the tight side. Try lubing with a bit of detergent before insertion.

Been last summer since I used mine but I seem to recall they are spring loaded (I think) and a couple of times I had to make a few attempts to get them on, other times they were no problem, there was something fiddly when changing them but for the life of me I cant remember exactly what it was.
