Sorry for the delay, but...



I had a word with my builder friend today and he doesn't see the smell being a problem.



He says that it could be that the wood is not dry enough, the chimney/flue is a bit dirty etc. The flue/chimney has not warmed up. All of the reasons he gave me did not ring any alarms about this.

I wasn't really worried about the smell - it's just a bit unpleasant. But it's nice to have the peace of mind anyway!
