Phone Bills!

I have just spent over half an hour trying to diascover why my monthly landline bills shot up first by 50% and then by 120% in two months!

It is TalkTalk. Their website is les than heklpful and their call centre staff are hard to understand.

My contract ends on 2 December. Time for a move but where to?

Recommendations?

Zen. Without doubt.

VOIP. And then whatever ISP you feel like for broadband alone.

(beware that there can be some hassles with extracting your landline number out of the clutches of your ISP as it also cancels your broadband. It can involve a few days without broadband between the cancellation and the new ISP connecting you).

Although Zen are not the cheapest their support is excellent - and they have a UK based support centre with staff who know what they are talking about instead droids reading a script.

I'm with Zen, because they are very good at sorting out problems. I haven't had a problem for a couple of years, which makes me wonder whether I'm getting VFM?

+1 for Zen They may be more expensive but the price stays the same as long as you are still on the service you signed up for including the ongoing monthly contracts for the same package after the 12/18 month contract has ended.

I don't think they now allow you to transfer your landline rental as their broadband packages now only have (optional) VOIP.

I don't think they still provide new fixed price contracts although I think they still honour existing ones.

Would you feel that you were getting better value if you had more problems for them to sort out?
