I've overboarded some walls and got them lovely and straight/flat with thin timbers and expanding foam,Such that in adding some new sockets if cut a hole and chip out the old plaster behind I could get away with using surface mount plastic boxes.I haven't, i've glued & screwed metal ones in. I must be a purist.Just wondering what you should do and what others would do.

I quite like the plastic ones that clip into a correctly sized hole in the plasterboard, given enough room behind.

I think they made a hurried mention of "fitting them the other way round" at the end of the video, the manufacturer shows them bent the other way ...

Its all very well the person doing the dry lining fixing these brackets, but they will need to label on the PB where it is otherwise the sparky won't know where exactly these brackets are before cutting a hole in the PB?
