Messing around with a Raspberry Pi, and am impressed enough to try and invest some time in a small project, which may (emphasis on *may*) not need too much work at all.
Basically, I want to create a device which can play a video file, along with it's associated audio via HDMI to a TV.
That's the easy part.
Now, the self same media player (or at a stretch a synchronised second copy) has to be able to (1) read a subtitles file (SRT, for example) and (2) play that file through a text-to-speech engine where the output goesm (3) via bluetooth to an earpiece.
My Pi came with Kodi/XBMC installed which has zillions of plugins, so it's a starting point ....
