out there used this service? If so, do you have a link to their pricing - seems unavailable unless I register first :-)

Nothing could beat Photobox for a combination of quality, service, speed and low prices. Many, many pro photographers use Photobox:

Never used them though. We are some more happy Photobox users

They do seem to produce the goods, uploaded and ordered some ordinary prints on Sunday evening, they dropped through the letter box Tuesday morning. Email saying they had been dispatched was timed "23 Jun 2008

07:38:28 +0000".

Pity their new website is such a script ridden heap of poo. It's so fecking slow changing pages (approx 10 seconds a time) on my basic (1GHz Duron, 35MB RAM, Win2k) machine. It appears to be trying to be clever and failing rather than getting on with the task in hand. If I hadn't used them before I wouldn't have got past the homepage. Not everyone has 50GHZ multi-proccesor, 600GB RAM, 30TB storeage mega-machines...

What matters to me above all is the Photobox combination of quality, service, speed and low prices. If I have to put up with a clunky web site, so be it. And I agree it is far from ideal.

And IIRC they own and operate the machinery used rather than just reselling some one elses. Prices are certainly competitive even when you factor in the postage. I looked at the online pickup instore services of CostCo and Tesco before using Photobox again but there wasn't a lot in it and you don't know how well any particulary stores machine is serviced/maintained.

Trouble is they have broken it sometime in the last and seem quite proud of the new site. But it's poo. They sent me an email to fill in a survey about the new site, I wasn't very complimentary about it.

Tesco are best avoided. Costco are reasonably good because they have a steady throughput and they manage their chemicals well. I use ASDA a lot because their stores also have a steady throughput and their chemical management is first class. I use one store where I know the manager well, and he is happy to do out of the ordinary stuff for me.

Well done. Honest feedback is priceless. Let's hope they act on it.
