OT(ish) - hole in my bucket?

Impulse buy - a Workzone set of screwdriver bits and interchangeable handles from Lidl.

All very nicely packaged, with an extra bit of security to allow the packaging to display the contents through the plastic packaging without the risk of all the screwdriver bits falling out when the package is mishandled by staff and punters. Yes - they have the box displayed open, with two screws through the plastic packaging into the plastic case to hold it all firmly together.

No worries, now to get the packaging off. Oh, it's held on by screws. No worries, I've just....bought.....a.....screwdriver....set...........

I managed by chopping the plastic covering about with some scissors and eventually forcing a handle and a bit out from under but it was a struggle. However, ironically effective packaging.

Cheers

Possibly to deter the light-fingered from helping themselves to the smaller parts. I recently found a few Lidl assorted drill cases and would have bought one, but all of them were minus a drillbit or two.

I recently considered getting their router, but the description didn't say what size the collets were. So I didn't buy.

Indeed. But it usually does say so on the box - and more often than not you're pleasantly surprised.

Checked the box, read all sides -- didn't say -- put it back in display.
