OK. So I dared to give a *neutral* comment to a slightly damaged in transit E bay purchase. I explained that the damage did not affect the use of the item and the £10.00 price outweighed any return benefits due to postage inconvenience.

The supplier has sent a request to review the comment. I have been unable to respond despite clicking on all E bay likely links. Any ideas?

you need to make a feedback revision request (you are only allowed 5 in a year)

have a look at ..

formatting link
?

espond despite clicking on all E bay likely links. Any ideas?

or ....since that seem to be a dead end

go to My Ebay

top of the screen on the right is your username, and in brackets after it is your total number of trades

the number in brackets is a hyperlink

click on the link and it takes you to your own feedback profile

just below the stars for the detailed seller ratings, there are 4 column headers, the last one titled "Left for others"

click on that and it should show you the latest bit of feedback that you have left

its possible that the thing you are looking for is the blue hyperlink marked "Follow up" ?

Ok. A.T I'll have another go this evening. Lot of effort for a few shards of broken plastic!

Right. Job done. My colours don't match your blue and putting brackets around something obscure is not infrequent user friendly but, job done:-)

another box ticked ... was it worth it ?

Not really. E Bay has moved on a lot since I joined. Low cost goods outlet with minimal business expenses.

My comment was factual and intended to be useful to the supplier and other customers.

you clearly made the fatal mistake of assuming that the site is used and operated by people with common sense :-\

One of the most cogent observations was made by a man I knew who ran a medium sized but very prestigious construction company.

I observed at how impossible it was to get workmen with any intelligence whatsoever.

"If they had intelligence, whey on earth would they be brickies, or carpenters, or even sparkies?' He said. "The cost would be enormous"

Darwin's law of corporate employment says that you only fire people who are so completely incompetent, so you can clearly document why.

In practice 90% of the productive work is done by ten percent of the staff.

The rest womble about pretending to work

And pretending to design web sites and sanitise telephones
