and?
and?
doesn't mean we have to have anything to do with them.....stuff you rainbow rights etc ...
you admitted a while back that would happen if I left ...how is that for memory...tee hee
Yeah, it's great without the gibbering, Jim.
Where's Burt, Jim? Is he still beating up dim Tim, Jim?
Yeah, it was only your gibbering that was keeping the group on its knees, Jim. It's on its arse now, Jim.

For those running drugs, why bother with the faff of obtaining a licence and a callsign at all?
I don't think KKK membership is essential to become a member of RSGB but you could be forgiven for thinking that it is based on recent posts.
Very misguided. If he kept up his levels of B12 he might become less so.
Erm, illegal AM CBer then a legal FM CB'er (all mobile), than a G7?
Well, unfortunately what you probably call 'the right kind of people' won't be the ones that carry it on, especially in the 1st world countries.
I'm not sure how selling a few bits of kit to a dwindling RA following competes with what they would get from re-allocating the bands for commercial use?
Ok ... ?
<Googles Zello> Ah, it costs money, of course you wouldn't like it. ;-)Why was that then?
It was, very handy. ;-)
I'm not quite sure what all that was about but I belive it was simpler than that (whatever it was).
See, you can either encourage them to be 'better amateurs' (like I did with you here and being a better Usenetter) and they either will, or just stubbornly stick to their awkward, non-conforming ways (as you did), not wanting to aspire to be better ... making a them and us.
You can't have it all ways mate. ;-(
Cheers, T i m
Aww thanks mate, you are ok as well! ;-)
In what way would you say?
Cheers, T i m
Ere hang on, that VHF isn't it, that's for noobs and wasters!?
Loads of numbers there, must be good! ;-)
I nearly went on 4m as I believe my roof mounted aerial is tri-band /4m /2m and 70cm?
Yup, loads of numbers that's for sure!
It's not your ham radio but it's using the ham radio frequency allocations and it's being used by Radio Amateurs so ...
And so your FT290 has an analogue tuner?
But how often do you use it now and for what?
But my interest is in the end, yours is in the means? I want to use something to do something useful, something I can't do better or cheaper other ways, or just for the S&G's.
Very few of my mates had Packet radio email addresses but they all soon had real Internet email addresses.
See, you might want to stick with 8 tracks and laserdisk but the rest of the world has moved on ... not saying that what you do with what you have is bad etc, it's more that few people will bother when they can do what you do quicker, better and easier with a mobile phone.
With Packet we actually had a gateway out to the Internet and I believe traffic would also hop across places using the Internet when radio coverage was bad. Are there gateways between any of these HF frequencies and the std phone system out of interest?
Cheers, T i m
Yes and Asian and all sorts of others, also before you say anything, there at least two transgender ones around quite active in the UK. I'm sorry but I don't see the real point of the question. Back when I was still wet behind the ears one of the best fault finding engineers at the TV factory where I worked was a jolly black chap we called Joe. And yes there are blind radio hams and indeed there is a club for them and indeed for other disabled ones. I have said before I'm not a ham, but if I wanted, I could be, but I do sometimes wonder how they get around the problem of a blind person doing anything practical as soldering is not a good idea if you cannot see!
Oh and while we are at it, there are black aero modellers and have been to my knowledge since the 1960s when I could see enough to do that. Bah humbug for the daftest questions we find around here sometimes.
Brian
Well, I could understand your remark if I'd addressed the question to you personally, but I didn't. Anyway, pointless questions get asked here all the time so there's plenty of precedent for it!
Well no one's forcing you to answer anything, Brian. If you think a question is "daft" then simply ignore it!
Well that really, really stinks. I'm speechless.
I have often thought about that question myself ...
It is just the way OFCOM has gone pandering to scum like that ... I am actively fighting against it and embarrassing fatso and his like when ever I can ...
people say your callsign doesn't matter so why does nobody go for a G8+3 club call..?...so it must
Well, it's surely instructive that no one to my knowledge here on this thread has stated that they've ever seen one. Not one - ever. Not even a vague recollection along the lines of, "I think I saw one once at the Crystal Palace Rally back in about 1977 but can't be 100% sure after all these years" for example. So the obvious question is, WHY NOT?
Well done, sir. It's nothing short of utter madness. :(
I told you there are plenty in foreign lands but they wouldn't be so stupid in this country they have better things to do....like knifing people ...blowing people up ...complaining about racial abuse.. abusing kids at the corner sop etc....come to think of it very few on usnet....."If you?ve never heard of Usenet, you are certainly not alone. This amazing communication platform is still kept tightly under wraps by the community of people who use it. Even though it came before things like the World Wide Web, blogs, online forums, and social media, Usenet has been quietly evolving in the background and will likely be around for many more decades.
Usenet is one of the oldest working network communication platforms and is like a symbiotic cross between Reddit and BitTorrent, but it?s also so much more.
If you like to chat online, have access to almost every discussion topic ever, download digital media, or stream video, and if you want to be able to do all this while enjoying super-fast speeds and reliability, Usenet is definitely something you should consider using!"
but no they don't ....
