I have a log store whose roof (approx 2000mm by 1200mm) is timber (cedar) covered with heavy-quality, gritted, roofing felt.
That felt has now started to crack in places, due to weather extremes. It leaks a bit.
I have a roll of thin roofing felt (you'd never use it alone, to roof a shed) which I'd like to use to protect the good stuff for another few years.
I would like to simply brush on some sort of adhesive, and roll out the thin stuff on top of the good stuff. (Then I'd nail a batten to the overlapped sides.)
My question: can anyone recommend an adhesive for this job?
(Naturally, I won't be doing it until I have a warm sunny day.)
Cheers John
