Hi all. I have a fitter coming round to install a 2nd hand gas fire. Its a robinson willey Excelsior inset type with real flame. The fire has painted (black) polystyrene coal effect parts and one of these is broken. Its the largest piece upon which 3 or 4 small 'lumps' are laid.
The piece is broken in half exposing the bare polystyrene. Is it safe to carefully place these halves together to lay them on the base? There are 2 flat pieces that are laid down first to form the base.
