While looking for an over-sink water heater (do they still exist?), Toolstation thought that I needed to see their wonderful insulating jackets for hot water cylinders and I noticed three users photos of them in use.
Two of them are being used to wrap up storage batteries used with solar PV installations.
Is this wise, or even safe ?.

If it's fireproof, surely no problem ?
I don't see why not, as long as any ventilation ports aren't blocked. The problem with LFP batteries is they lose capacity below 0C, so in an uninsulated garage the temps can fall that low in the night. This adds a bit of insulation to keep them warmer until morning.
LFP aren't very flammable, but if your battery is on fire you have more problems than a fibreglass jacket on it.
I'm assuming they take them off in the summer, where being warmer may be less advantageous.
