Any other good ones around? The SF one is £45 and I had an impression, obviously very out of date, that these things were about £25!

You may be able to buy cheaper but the known makes do tend to be easier to use and program. Just had a look at the instructions for that one and it indeed seems easy to set up for either 5-2 (weekday/weekend) operation or 7 day independent programming, also includes copy functions to copy one day's programming to another, v useful. Also has intuitive advance (next programme) and extend (+1hr) functions for ch & hw right on the front panel
I'd say unless it's a benefits street issue, go for it.
The Danfoss TP9000 is a two channel programable thermostat. I have had a TP9 (earlier version) for a number of years.
It uses a remote sensor which is easy to install if there is an existing wired thermostat to replace.
That is the programmer of choice on my jobs!
Packed with most of the usual features a geek wants with the ability to use it in simple mode so that the old dears can use it. And I have never had to replace a faulty one.
