Need Aris Electric Wallpaper Cutter

Aug 15, 2004 3 Replies

Having taken a week off work to do some serious wallpapering, I have just discovered that the blade cutter assembly (not the blades themselves) on my Aris cutters has given up. I'd be grateful for details of *High Street* shops where I might be able to get a new cutter assembly, or even a whole new set of cutters(websites and QVC will be too slow). (See

for details).

I've seen them somewhere in a shop, I just can't remember which shop!

Thanks in advance.

Ian

I use Stanley blades or scissors

Somebody suggested an Opinel knife on here a few years back, and I have to say it's the best cutter of wet paper I've found. A curved blade that's so soft you can sharpen it on sandpaper every 5 minutes. Not sure what an Arris does but I have tried the little battery driven job which perforates rather than cuts. Not bad, but you can't get right into corners.
