Mobile phone power cord.

I have a no-name non-smart Chinese soapbar mobile phone and the power cord has disintegrated so many times that I can no longer fix it. The trouble is that I can't identify it in order to buy a replacement.



I thought I'd nailed the problem when I bought this 10-way power cord

but it turns out that I haven't.



The nearest one in that batch is labeled SAMS-1 but in real life SAMS-1 is just a little bit too big.



My one has the same type of C-shape metal pressing and black plastic face but it measures 1.5mm thick by 7.5mm wide and has space for up to ten contacts inside.



Any suggestions?

Hmm, it's really hard to search for old phone chargers with the prevalence of USB now. I think SAMS-1 is probably a 'Samsung Type 1' charger:

 But that doesn't match any other standard I've heard of.

It is also possible the manufacturer did their own thing, because at that stage so was everyone else.

Might be easier and cheaper to buy a new non-smart phone.

I'm assuming then that the problem yyou have is that the plug is moulded on and henc the wires cannot be got to to make up an adaptor lead? I think, assuming you cannot actually find out the maker that ist is time to get something like A doro or similar for the non smart side, or maybe get one of those phones that both has a keypad and a screen running Android, for the best of both worlds.

You are right, of course. But, wherever I am in the world[1] the phone still sends and receives SMS for 2FA which is all I really use it for. At a pinch I can charge the battery outside the phone. And I don't want to add even more electronic landfill.
