Hi all. What is the minimum tread depth for stairs in domestic environment?

Sorry gents...half a sleep. Just googled and found it...9" nost to nose and rise is 8"
But only in the tread center..check on spiral type staircases if you want to cram a staircase into a small area.
Its not quite that simple since the allowable values are interrelated with the rise as well, have a look at approved document K (page 6)
