:) yeah, right. Recently I noticed a slight imbalance between the two sides, which turned out (luckily) to be caused by damage to one of the crossover units. Some time, presumably long ago when the speakers were installed in my parents' house, some sort of over-driving had made a resistor very hot, melting some of the surrounding plastic casing and damaging a capacitor. It could have been some misbehaviour from my dad's DIY amp, or from his DIY kids. All better now, and my daughter will inherit them.
I also have a pair of Spendor BC1s that I'm not using but can't bear to part with. It was a tossup, but I decided to use the Tannoys when they came available.
