Looking for name of a type of fixing

I'm trying to find a type of fixing whose name I don't know.



It's something like a bolt but it's not threaded. It has a head like a bolt and it can be pushed through a hole like a bolt but that's when the difference from a bolt emerges. Once pushed through the hole one can release a 'toggle' from the middle of the bolt to prevent it from sliding out again.



I.e. it's a bit like a clevis pin but with the function of the R-clip or split-pin built into the clevis pin.



Does anyone know what they're called?

While browsing (not specifically searching for this) I found what they're called - 'Antiluce Pins'. They're typically used on trailers and such. They're not quite as I described above but they are what I was thinking of. In the end I don't think they'll do what I want but at least it won't nag me not being able to find them! :-)

I have antiluse pins on my trailer, to hold the rear which folds down, but that was not what I imagined when I saw your first description.

The first description conjured up a fitting for hollow walls. Drill hole, insert bolt horizontally, toggle drops down, tighten bolt. Google shows me they are plasterboard fixings, either sprung or gravity.

And coming from a farming background I had never heard that name. To me they are just 'tailgate clips'
