He's got a gas mask in that box. He's being evacuated.

I don't know about you, but I'm not going to spend anytime searching Google Images or anywhere else for a "Boy who looks about 11 or 12" for fairly obvious reasons.

Smutty ones any good ?

Sally Soames, the photographer, died last week and I've seen some realite in amongst the famous faces: google image search for Sally Soames photograph boy for some of them. One I liked that came up in the search (not by Sally Soames, but that's Google for you) was the first one here: https://project-space.london/marilyn-stafford-stories-in-pictures-1950-1960 The usual agencies, Shutterstock, Alamy, Getty etc are bound to have what you want.

The Barnsley accent is different from the Sheffield accent.

I'm relieved to hear that you understand the basis of capitalism.

Bill

Next someone will say that the West Barnsley accent is different from the East Barnsley accent. :)

Have you considered getting someone to do a sketch of what you want?

Accents in Sheffield, Glasgow, and Edinburgh vary widely across each city.

Bill

It might come to that.

Perhaps there should be a revamp of the Four Yorkshiremen sketch where, instead of outdoing each other in terms of how poor their childhood was, they brag about their ability to distinguish fine variations in accent.

Don't tell me you've forgotten the highway code, Bill!

At the kerb, halt. Look right, look left, look right again.

If all is clear, then cross the road.

I wouldn't fancy his chanes if he stepped straight out without looking! I know you live in a rural area but I bet it's not traffic free!

Don't forget this is supposed to be the 1950s. In those days the advice was: Stop, Look, and Listen Before you cross the street. Use your eyes, and use your ears Before you use your feet.

Jim

I bet there's an app you can get that'll do that for you now ;-)

"Willy Weasel has just been knocked down"

This one is from RoSPA (Tufty Club) but you'd need a better resolution copy

This one is a school crossing patrol

Which leads me to another suggestion - local camera clubs may have archives with a suitable image and more generous re-use terms
