I want to test how long some mobiles can sustain a call.
So, anyone know a long, free call number? One that doesn't time out!
Any thoughts?

999 should do the trick from what I've heard of late.
Don't you have infinite minutes on your mobile package so you can test this?
From experience I have made and received calls that have lasted over
90mins without issue.
Phone your own landline (if you have one) or your friend/partner's mobile?

I wasn't aware that general elections required special prayers.
I suspect most people get unlimited calls to landlines and mobiles included from their mobile, though not everyone is on that type of contract ...
Use it connected using wifi to your broadband.
Then it won't be a mobile call.

First Result: 1hr 22min to first "battery low" prompt.
VoWiFi calls are no more (and no less) free than calls made over mobile networks.
I believe that that is still so with Vodafone. That said, my first test result is 1hr 51min to flat enough battery to cause shut-down, so little chance of me crossing that border!
A long time ago when I was working on related things I was told by Vodafone that all their mobile calls would be terminated after
24h. I needed to know because I was making day-long calls to the UK from Germany and I didn't want them to get prematurely terminated. The reason for the 24h limit was to avoid confusing the billing system. John
I am, though with my ISP, but it is explicitly stated that calls over an hour will start to be charged.
I do have unlimited calls on one of my mobile's SIMs, but I never make long calls so I've never bothered checking the details. I have that one for Internet access, and a PAYG one which carries my long-standing number. I could consolidate, but they use different networks, and sometimes one is down.
