I'll need an Essex flange for the shower that's being fitted. I've watched a number of Youtube vids. They make it look easy but I'm sure very fiddly. Anyone fitted one? What was your experience?
The downside I suspect being slightly less hot water capacity being available. Alternatives are Surrey/S flange and the other top entry flanges but the existing HW pipework at the top of the cylinder looks fused on and I don't want to touch it nor have to realign the vent pipework.
Anti-gravity loops The pump being fed, may be above the cylinder, (if we go for digital it can go in the loft according to the instructions) I'm led to believe that will need an anti-gravity loop (although nothing is stated I understand from the ordinary shower pump instructions this is required). If a 40cm loop is specified, is that referring to the minimum height of the "U"?
