On reading the letter they've sent, the relevant bit: "At Lidl, we offer a full in-store refund to anyone dissatisfied with their goods, with or without a receipt, provided it can be reasonably shown that the product was purchased from Lidl"
It seems daft - took them a good few minutes at the till to sort it out.
They seemed most interested in the product code. I'd imagine that takes them to some sort of date range.
I only *ever* go inside those ghastly places to see what is in the middle isle. The other scruffy tatty shelves are of no interest.

I don't know. But it'd be a start if they actually sold it. My point (that you can take or leave) is that it's worth asking.
