Kitchen Hob Top sizes

Jan 12, 2010 1 Replies

A couple of years ago, I replaced the the counter top / work surface. A hole was cut for the existing hob cooker of 770mm (L) x 470mm (D) external dimension including rim.

The hob (a ~12 year old Creda) is now a bit long in the tooth with a couple of cracks in the heat conducting glass.. All the new hobs that I have seen are smaller and nearly square.

  1. Are their hobs available in the above mentioned size ?
  2. Is replacing the glass top possible / worthwhile ?
  3. Alternatively, It's a new worksurface and new hob

Thanks in advance.

You can get 6-burner hobs, which may be closer to your dimensions. Have a look on Google. Simon.
