Probably an obvious question, but are shaver points (recessed flush to the wall) included in the hazardous area zones, and if so which - presumably zone 3?

Isolated shaver supply units complying with BS EN 60742 are allowed in Zone 2 provided they are fixed so as to avoid direct spray from showers. In Zone 3 and beyond they are allowed unconditionally.
If the shaver socket is BS EN60742 Chapter 2, Section 1 compliant then it can go in Zone 2 or 3. I am not aware of any situations where they can be installed in lower zones.
