The tube will have 'smacked' down on the roof, so that's quite different of course to snow gently building up anyway.
Either way, I wouldn't want to be spending any time in that building until the tube has been removed, and the building checked. For all we know, the building could be close to collapse now.
It can vary a bit wit the wind! Each stay IIRC has around 6 to 8 tones of force on it so in a decent wind, and seeing the UK's winds have got stronger recently, that wind effect can put more pressure on the base..
They did have this lot in to report on it. They it seemed said its only worth scrap!...
