What do people reckon a fair price for a chain link fence, 3ft-ish high, 32 metres long should cost. The site is level and will be clear. Any pointers gratefully received . TIA.

Materials costs (which you can look up) plus 2 days work for 1 person
Depends on post construction. Chain link fencing does not need concreted in posts, so hammered in 3" round wood posts should be fine. A days work at most for that, probably more like 4 hours.
~£100 labour, 16 posts at £5 each - £80, chain link fenc - £100?
So £300 - £350 would be about right
Alan.
??? Chain link fencing needs to be put up on properly tensioned wires.
The end posts need to be braced (and braced with something pretty substantial).
I would expect to pull those over (or snap them) when the wire was tightened.
