How easy is it to install T-beam concrete floors?

Aug 29, 2004 2 Replies

I read on a concrete product manufacturer's website that unskilled labour can be used to install these floors. Is that really true?

I need to raise the level of a pond filter house (7' 3" X 6' 3") by about 10". Is this a quick and cost effective way of achieving this?

Cheers!

Jeff To email me just take the MICK out of my addy!

Jeff, It might be cheaper and easier to cover the floor in concrete blocks standing on edge. Beam and block should be easy but you need such a small amount, you will likely pay a lot for delivery.

Bob

is ther any other sort in the bulding trades?

Yes, its a doddle.

Quick to install, long to get mde up, and in teh quantities, not cheap.

Why not simply lay down DPM if mnot already present, chuck in 6 inches of rubble and screed over?
