Gutter sealant?

Oct 02, 2005 2 Replies

Before I go down to B&Q and buy the wrong one, what's a good sealant for a joint/crack in an asbestos gutter? It needs to stick in damp conditions and remain flexible but preferably not remain tacky.

Replacing the gutter is not an option as it's a horizontal valley between two roofs.

you want a polysulfide based construction sealent, these are moisture curing but the surface has to be fairly dry for them to get a good initial tack.

Flexacryl,

expensive - large tin but works. Make sure you cover sufficient of the valley.
