Yes, thanks, that'd do it. I had thought about cutting up a biscuit tin as I don't have any alu sheet to hand. But I'd guess that would react in some way, or rust?

Now, what can I canabalise to get a bit of c.85 x 85mm 2mm sheet aluminium? Or where to buy a bit?

What about your nearest scrap metal yard or perhaps the local waste site? The operators may be amenable to you taking an item away for re-use. ISTR a TV program based on just that. I think she was intercepting stuff prior to the actual bin though.

Might do it but it'd result in a bit too much of a 'lip'. I do have some lead sheet left over somewhere but I think it'd be a bit thick.
