When you remove a GU10 lamp from a ceiling socket, does the socket usually dangle down from the fittting on wires?

It often does.
Fire rated ones GU10 fittings and crap light fitting from the sheds usually do not.

Thank you. It does seem shoddy. Will change it in daylight with the current off.
