grouting in stages

I've got some grouting to do and its grey grout with white tiles, so it will show. My grouting has improved a lot now I know how to use the sponge properly - I did a small test panel and it looked good.

The grout is a cement-based one. If I grout in sections so one section has cured before I start the next, will it show where the sections join ? Or should I get organised and make sure I do it all in one hit ?

Simon.

No. it works just fine with a good grout.

Use dilute acid to clean what's left of the grout off the tile post wet sponging. Vinegar* is good. Or time-scale remover.

*Note to spell checker. No, I didn't mean Viagra.

Did you mean 'time'-scale remover though? :-)

IME it blends in OK. I cannot spot my joins - though it was white grout.

Maybe it's short-hand for very fast acting lime-scale remover?

pay attention/suss out the mix proportions - use a pint pot/old coffee jar to measure or similar? to maintain powder to water ratios - so each batch, and so shade/colour are same ...
