Grab adhesive for specific job

I wonder if anyone can recommend a grab adhesive for a specific job I have in mind?

I need to glue a strip of PVCu trim to a sheet of acrylic but, I need to use an adhesive that is white(ish), will finish nicely with a tool where it shows, is not like thick Evo-stik and preferably, doesn't reek of solvent.

It also has to be waterproof. Any suggestions?

I'm tempted to suggest superglue, mainly because that's how DG installers fix upvc to itself. They also use an accelerator, a mere whiff of which which makes it go off instantly

Thanks Stuart but I expect there to be a slight gap where the trim joins the sheet which is why I wanted an adhesive which looked kind of white. I don't want to have to fill the join with anything afterwards such as sealant.

I dont know any glue that will doall that with any degree of toughness. Only silicone would fit your requirements, but its not that tough. A solvent might work well, but it doesnt meet every wish.

Frank,

I've had some good successes on almost similar materials using Unibond's No More Nails - this can be spread thinly if needed and has small gap filling properties and *may* be of some use to you.

As a matter of interest, I've managed to find a cheaper (but as good, if not better) product from my local UPVc supplier called Fixall (info here

Forgot to add, that's the stuff is not really a grab adhesive, but it's unlikely that you'll find an alternative to Evostik that is any thinner [1] or doesn't stink of solvent.

[1] Evostik can be spread quite thinly if you make your own serrated spreader using something like an offcut of Formica and a fine toothed saw (a hacksaw blade is ideal to cut to the depth you need).

Sorry about the forgetfulness,
