Group is probably dead and gone. Not available on my News feed. Last posted message was 2015.

That's not a USENET group, because the name is not dot-separated.

You can create your own URLs, if you have an idea of what the USENET name for a thing is.

This would get you to the WindowsXP group that has been removed from Eternal-September. You can see on the webpage, it has minty-fresh drug-spam sourced from Google Groups itself. That proves the group is working :-/ Working to ruin USENET, that is. If you scroll down, actual postings about computers would be there.

Google Groups does not respond to abuse complains, and at the current time, there is a "trick" the logged-in Google Group users can use, to evade abuse reports.

Now, see if you can find "microsoft.public.windowsxp.general" on this web page. This web page is the active file of the Mixmin news server. And this would help you select a group to contact.

Note that, Google stopped adding groups some time ago.

alt.windows7.general <=== might be on Google Groups

alt.comp.os.windows-11 <=== Definitely not on Google Groups (too new)

Many USENET servers will have alt.comp.os.windows-11 .

Maybe not but it is indexed along with other USENET groups on Google groups.

Yes, Google actually zaps most groups. I have noticed a lot missing. However on Eternal September I see groups that simply no longer propagate or are mostly full of sex ads for web cam girls, so really, they are probably dead over much of the world for what the name implies they were for. It seems forums and facebook are the new places, or mastodon which at least is not owned by anyone and subject to zapping at the whim of a loony owner. Brian
