Not heard of this. are you talking mobile or pc or what?

Anyway, if you are using windows 10, in January Edge is being dumped by Microsoft as a failed project and a specially reframed version of Chrome put out as Son of Edge, the revenge.. sorry, getting a bit carried away there. Brian

why didn't they just update IE?

I still use it and it works perfectly well all the time, except on those sight that look to see what I am using as report "you are using an outdated browser bla bla bla"

but if I just ignore that message it still works perfectly well

Doesn't work on Firefox 28.0 either, or Pale Moon, or Opera 36.

I restored from an old backup. It is now fine. reloading the program had no effect.

Doesn't work with Vivaldi but it does work with Chromium (Linux Mint).

Possibly because Firefox is now on version 70 (it does work with this version)

Version 28 was released in 2014.

The vast majority of business websites work with Firefox 28. I don't see why a government website, developed using my money and nominally delivering a service to taxpayers, shouldn't.

Oh, wait; I think I've worked it out. Businesses lose money if their websites don't work with customers' browsers. Governments don't.

My car was released in 2006. It still works perfectly.

Works for me on Firefox 67 and Chromium 74. But only if I start from the page:
