Good discount on architectural radiators?

Nov 28, 2004 2 Replies

Hi

I want to get a replacement radiator for my bathroom to match the period of the cottage better than the 70's flat panel currently. A

64cmx61cm 3 tube 'cast iron' effect would be ideal, but God are these stylised rads expensive! Anyone know a good outlet for 'trendy' radiators/bathroom heaters?

Many thanks MG

Have you tried looking around in some scrap yards or reclamation yards?

I have noticed some on e-bay. Price range seems to be from 5 to 150 pounds (who knows why).

We have been trying to get a reclamation yard to take three cast iron rads from our church (just installed more efficient rads) but they don't seem interested. I guess that this means that there isn't much demand(?) Mind you they weigh a ton - it took 4 of us to 'walk' one a few feet...
