Glue that holds wood on to Wet Bathroom Tiles

Have put up a wooden bracket to hold a shower head in the bathroom.

With the wooden frame i used hot glue to stick it to the wall tiles. But it keeps coming undone. I guess condensation is creeping in between the hot glue on the wooden bracket and the wall tiles.

Is there a common glue that would stick better to wet tiles. i don't want superglue as it sets too fast. Also with gorilla glue that you can use in the wet i don't have any means of tying it down which they recommend in the instructions. UHU clear glue and EVO contact adhesive seem fairly common. Would they hold on day after day? Grateful for any suggestions.

I would try CT1, I notice it's now available in toolstation.

I think you are onto a loser with tiles. Its not an easy surface, its smooth but undulating. Although you might get contact adhesive to work, it would still soften with heat and the physical movement as you moved the shower about would eventually make it fall off. In the end, it may be you have to drill and plug some holes through the tiles for screws of some kind. Brian

Most glues aren't truly waterproof. Epoxy is. Gorilla(pu) and cyanoacrylate are not. Be sure to clean the tile properly before application - a common mistake. Normal clean, acid to remove limescale film, solvent.

What's wrong with screws?

Car body filler works pretty well
