Glow-worm Foundryman radiant convector gas fire

I want to install this old but never used fire in a new site BUT th

chimney is in good condition but unlined. Is this satisfactory? Th installation manual appears to indicate that it is not necessary a there is no mention of lining.

The manufacturer's instructions are the ones to follow, and overrule any CORGI regs. Usually, as long as the chimney has been thoroughly swept, the catchment area is of appropriate size, openings are within range and the chimney's intergrity is sound, all should be ok. Obviously flue flow and spillage tests along with burner pressure tests must be carried out. Remember to follow all instructions in the mfr's book.

2nded. If the book mentions a Class I flue that means a 9" square brick chimney. Make sure it is swept before fitting. It should pass the smoke match and pellet tests.
