Fridge part of Samsung fridge-freezer gone warm

Samsung American style fridge freezer - freezer part working fine but fridge side failed today. Am I right in thinking this should be worth fixing as the freezer side is doing all the work and it may be an iced over fan or something connected to the freezer part?

It depends.

Some fridge freezers have one cooling system and ?divert? cold air from the freezer to the fridge.

Others have separate systems. Not common but they do exist.

Look for a simple flap or fan which directs air to the fridge. It could just be stuck.

Or a faulty temperature sensor?

Or a failed door seal...

May be, depending how complex it is. Some only sense the temp in on place, the freezer. Others control the flap.

As he things the freezer is ok, I?d start checking the air path ( flap or fan) to the fridge. A bit of ice or fridge gunge is all it needs to cause problems.
