fridge freezer question

Morning all

Just had a Bosch Fridge/freezer - frost free model delivered. Delivery driver told me to wait 8 hours before plugging in and switching on to allow gases to settle, but instruction manual says it can be switched on after allowing 1/2 an hour after shipping. Who is right please?

Thanks in advance!

Lydia

Probably the manual. However, 8 hours is the better plan. There can be problems if it's started up too early, when it's been lying int the wrong position, and oil gets into the capillary tube. It's got to drain out, which can be slow.

Maybe the delivery driver knows that they didn't follow the recommended handling procedure?

true, minimum 4hours, Beko write it on the side of the box if the appliance is laid on it side
