Fibreglass flat roof (strong enough to walk on): cost

Apr 07, 2017 2 Replies

Hello All.

I appreciate that this is rather a "how long is a piece of string" question , but does anyone here have experience of ball park costs for fitting a fib reglass flat roof that is strong enough to serve as a terrace, for regular foot traffic?

In terms of specifics of the job, there is currently a grubby slab patio of around 2m x 9m on the roof location in question. The work will entail remo ving this patio, laying battens and OSB to create a flat surface with a run

-off, applying the glass matting and resin and then finishing with lead fla shing into existing brickwork.

To the nearest £500 or so, any idea how much is reasonable for that lo t?

Cheers.

Jim.

The strength will come from what's under the glass fibre I would have thought.

One thing, the current system would seem to be good at insulation, and your proposal, maybe not so good and somewhat more bouncy. Brian
