I came across them almost by accident. A few years ago I was looking for an elasticated belt, couldn't find anything in the shops & Google turned up this crowd - I ordered the belt, which took 3 weeks to arrive! Since then they have sent me catalouges every now & then - which have a Readers Digest slant - you could win XXX if your lucky numbers match etc.

They appear to be Germans......

They're not particularly cheap but some of the less-gimmicky stuff is reasonably good value.

They are selling Kress badged tools, so they are now in the UK under Kress again. This is £150. While I saw the Wickes badged version for £90.

This looks like just what I need, but it doesn't seem to come with a blade for cutting metal.

The Bosch is around £10 more and readily available blades.

I've been looking into that one. A useful tip I read elsewhere is to get the £5 'star' adaptor that Fein sell for using the new accessories with their older tools, then you can use all the Fein blades with the Worx motor.

Having said that, Is one a good alternative to a detail sander (i.e. a B

I have the Bosch PMF180 and its the best detail sander I've ever used bar none. Much, much better than anything else I've used.

Having said that, I've had to buy a replacement sanding base pad after 6 months of light use. Still happy though.

Saves me carrying a sander as well on the van.

I see it's gone up in price in B&Q to 70 quid. Possibly it had only been on special offer at 60.

Still a remarkable tool...
