so I buy a new fancy TV to get me through the shielding...had to take the first one back on Sunday now the second one is doing the same...how do I take it back now?....swore I would never buy another Turkish telly years ago ....

Buy cheap, buy twice. It's becoming all too common.
Jim buys many more times than twice.
He could stock a classroom with his 'bargain' laptops.
I often wonder if the same fault keeps on happening they either have a very severe problem or something is happening to them en route. Brian
Do you have an image posting site you normally use ?
Is it a problem we'd recognize if we saw a picture of it ?
Or is it really broken (smoke, black screen, random vertical lines) ?

Firt it started jumping channels by itself then It loses signal strength and reception on all the freeview channels even though it says it has stored 170....alexa then stops working ....then you couldn't get netflix or amazon ..reset fixes things but you have to re enter all your passwords etc....
I have had bad telly's before and they were made in Turkey like this one...junk
It was designed to keep you busy, but still has some way to go as you are finding time to post about your tribulations.

You weren't keying up one of your radios at the time, were you ?
I would find an electrically and acoustically quiet spot and re-test.
At least I know you don't have any HomePlug in the house :-/

nah 40m only brings on and off a touch table lamp in the living room...no other RFI problems here.....

Well, why don't you ditch that junk and buy a Roku TV? UK developed, and you get Freeview Play. Unlike the Amazon ones.
