Extractor Fan Isolation - Again

It's up to the fan to determine what fuses are required. However, it seems to me to be safer to have no additional fuses if allowed. Otherwise, if just one fuse blows, nasty things can happen. The fan may stay live even with the blown fuse, or the fan may back feed the blown fuse with power. They might only be necessary if the lighting circuit is fused at a high value, like

16A, rather than the normal 5 or 6A.

Hi all

Looking at the wiring diagram for an Xpelair fan DX200T, there is a fuse shown "downstream" of the double pole isolation switch. The MK 3 pole switch I intended to fit does not appear to have an integral fuse.

Is it a regs requirement to have a second fuse close to the fan after this isolator? The wiring diagram shows the fuse covering both the live and the switched live to the fan.

TIA

Phil
