Emulsion in kitchens & bathrooms

I've seen plenty of "specialist" anti-moisture paints for use in kitchens and bathrooms and am wondering if it's worth the extra money. Particularly for ceiling paint, as I have plenty of white left from my other rooms and don't really want to go out and buy a new tub just for these two.

Our kitchen has an extractor fan and doesn't generally steam up much, though as with any kitchen, the "food" in the air tends to stick to stuff over time until you scrub it off.

Particularly

In short, no. Stick to what you've got.

By all means use what you have but if you have to buy new stock in, I have found B&Q kitchen and bathroom range excellent.

So no danger to the plasterboard from damp or grease just because it has normal emulsion on it?
