DZR fittings

I asked this as a sub question in another thread but didn't get any replies so am asking again all on it's own

In plumbing, what is the purpose of DZR fittings ? When should they be used and when should they be avoided?

Thanks

Nick Brooks

formatting link

Nick Brooks

Yes, when used with appropriate inhibitor.
