Duracell CR2032 batteries are shite

Today I noticed that the dates of assorted daily info updates were a bit'odd', and then I noticed that the computer date was 5-aug-2024 23:57.I only replaced the original 2032 about 3 years ago when it was about 10 years old with a Duracell one. Now the latter is reading 1.66V.I have no idea what make of battery that Novatech fitted in theM/B, ram, processor upgrade package that I bought in 2011together with Win 7/32 Pro on an OEM disk, but it lasted for 10 years.I would have expected a life of at least 7 years or so.Computer is only used for a few hours during the day and frequentlynot on a daily basis.How long should these things last ?.I have replaced it with an Energiser lithium 2032 which reads3.27V.

OK - I know why it's there for hearing aid batteries; why is it there otherwise?
